Open Jam in the Lotus Dome

We’re opening the Dome for a rhythm-forward, movement-centered open jam.

If you’ve never experienced sound inside the Lotus Dome, it’s something special. The geodesic structure naturally amplifies and carries acoustic sound in a way that feels immersive without being loud. A single drum can ripple through the space. Layered voices seem to hover and blend overhead. Even soft harmonies have presence. There’s no need for amplification because the architecture does the work.

This will be an entirely acoustic gathering. Hand drums, frame drums, shakers, acoustic strings, simple percussion, voice, body rhythm. If you don’t have an instrument, bring your hands and your feet. Clapping, stomping, humming, and moving are more than enough.

The container itself will be improvised based on whoever walks through the door. If a room full of drummers arrives, we may build a long, driving groove. If singers gather, we may fall into layered chant and harmony.…
